Xavier University of Louisiana, an NAIA institution located in New Orleans, is seeking dynamic and enthusiastic graduate assistants to work in Facilities and Operations. Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, Graduate Assistants will be responsible for various projects and assignments within the Xavier Athletics Department.
Specific Responsibilities
Assist with the daily operations of the Convocation Center and/or Convocation Annex buildings to include the opening and closing of the facilities
Monitor the entrance and exit of the buildings
Report maintenance requests
Help with the set-up and take-down of events scheduled in the buildings to include the use of audio/video equipment
Additional duties as assigned by the administrators in the Athletics Department.
Job requirements
A bachelors degree is required from an accredited college or university. Knowledge of audio/video equipment is suggested. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with culturally diverse groups of people is required. The position will require early morning and/or late hours and weekends.
Xavier University of Louisiana, an NAIA institution located in New Orleans, is seeking dynamic and enthusiastic graduate assistants in the areas of Biology, Chemistry, English, Math and Physics to tutor for the Athletics Department. These tutors would instruct student-athletes individually or in small groups and help them improve their understanding of the subject. These instructors will perform activities like monitoring student progress, identifying areas needing improvement, helping with understanding and preparing students for tests. The tutors would work closely with the Assistant Athletics Director of Student Development.
Specific Responsibilities
Help the student understand the concepts of the subject taught at the college level.
For English, help students polish their reading skills and comprehend the content of written passages and interpretation. English tutors must have a high mastery of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
This position might also involve the tutoring of students whose first language is not English.
Additional duties as assigned by the administrators in the Athletics Department.
Job requirements

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with culturally diverse groups of people is required. The University of Pikeville is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Graduate Assistant for Track & Field. Candidates must have a commitment to upholding the academic and athletic mission of the University.
Graduate Assistants receive tuition waivers of up to 6 hours of classes per semester, housing & a meal plan. However, if the GA does not reside on campus, then he/she will receive a monthly stipend in lieu of room & board. The meal plan covers the actual number of weeks that classes are in session during the fall, spring, and summer semesters.
