Job Description
Job Title: Commissioner
Reports To: Mid-South Conference Council of Presidents
FLSA Status: Exempt
Classification: Regular Full-Time
Salary Range: $85 - $110k (Depending on Experience)
SUMMARY
The Commissioner is responsible for the daily administration of all conference activities. The Commissioner is responsible for implementing new programs and projects as directed by the Council of Presidents of the Mid-South Conference (MSC).
The Commissioner serves as the chief operating officer for the conference that currently has seven (7) full member colleges located in Kentucky and Tennessee. The conference is affiliated on the national level with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Attend and represent the MSC at all NAIA affiliated conference meetings.
Attend national NAIA meetings and provide council to the MSC voting member at such meetings.
Provide information from the NAIA to member institutions in a timely manner.
Complete and return all required NAIA forms to the national office.
Facilitating resolution of protests, grievances or other special concerns by hearing the evidence and mediating the dispute. If necessary, the commissioner is the final arbitrator of all disputes.
Administering any disciplinary action against individuals, teams or schools as necessary.
Develop guidelines for hiring, training, assigning, disciplining, evaluating, and terminating conference game officials.
Ensure effective rules education programming for officials, coaches, staff, and administration on an annual basis.
Mediate disputes between officials and employees of member institutions.
Ensure member institutions receive a list of all assigned officials for events they are hosting for team sports of the Mid-South Conference.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Commissioner supervises the conference Sports Information Director and other conference staff

Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Principal duties include serving as the junior varsity coach to include practice and skill development sessions and will also serve as lead assistant in the varsity. Job Summary:
The Womens Soccer Head Coach is responsible for all aspects of coaching the SC womens soccer program: recruiting student athletes, coordinating practices and activity travel, and promoting events and activities. Duties and Responsibilities:
The general responsibilities of the Head Coach include, but are not limited to:
Overseeing all aspects of the womens soccer program and all athletes associated with the program
Successfully manage all athletes associated with the program with a targeted focus on academic success, program culture and actions of the student-athletes
Design and implementation of effective practice and game plans
Direct and independent coaching and skills development of student-athletes during practice and games
Assessment and recruitment of prospective student-athletes
Supervising off-season programs, scouting reports and player development

The Head Women's Volleyball Coach is responsible to the Athletic Director. The coach will be responsible for all
aspects of establishing and maintaining a quality volleyball program
upholding the mission of HLGU.

Full-time participation during off-season and part-time during season as a member of the Admissions/Enrollment team in the Office of Engagement, focusing on recruitment.
